First off. I love this rifle. Fit and finish is awesome, as was it's performance on a 130lbs Florida hog a couple of days ago (my first kill with it). I have one major concern though. I can't seem to cycle rounds very well at all. The only amunition I've shot through it are the 300 gr. Winchester Supreme Partition Solids. When I work the lever, the case comes out flawlessly. When I try to load however, it seems as though the bullet is not lifted enough to make it into the chamber. I have to turn the rifle upside down in order to get the bullet in. Should I call Marlin, send it to a gunsmith, or is it something I can fix myself? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I would send it back. My 1894SS was the same way. I sent it back and Marlin fixed the problem.
All of my .45-70's feed very well even when shifting very slowly. I have the GS, CB, LTDIII and the G. I think your problem is that the carrier is not coming up high enough. All defective guns need to be sent back to Marlin. That is the only way they will know about the defect.
