Hey, I just received my Great Grandfather's Winchester 1894 and I would like to find out as much about it as you can provide. It is a 30 W.C.F. with an octagon barrel. The serial # is 388xxx. I would like to know the year it was manufactured etc. Thanks for any information.

Bumpin_bass,
According to "The Winchester Book" by Madis,
1907 started with serial # 378,879 and
1908 started with serial # 430,986.
By his information, yours would be a 1907.
