If you could only take one rimfire with you, which one?I would take my marlin 25n.

my stainless/synthetic 77/22 with a Leupold 3-9X EFR (extended focus range) compact scope.

and many, many CCI Stingers.

my 10/22T gets shot more, but is too heavy for primary rimfire.

Well, like if I had to bug-out and live in the wilderness? Probably the lightweight, compact, and reasonably accurate Marlin Papoose.:)

i really dont know why but i LOVE the Springfield M6 rifle and the Henry AR-7 never had a problem with them other than a dud or two on cheap ammo and they both shoot XXXX good. i love 'em!

I would have to take my Stevens 44 Schuetzen rifle, in .22lr. It outshoots everything else I own in .22, including my Winchester 52B Target!

As much as I like the Remington 512 Sportsmaster (1945'er) I just aquired, I would have to pick the Glenfield 25 I got for Christmas when I was eleven , you know first gun and all. It came to me with 2 boxes of Remington ammo of which I shot one box shortly after receiving the gun and some how managed to not shoot the gun for the following 26 years thereafter. Just last year I broke the thing out of moth balls and shot that second box of ammo (yeah the other box from 1977 and they all went ka-pow !!! amazingly) with my nine year old Son.

I would have to say my very first rifle. A 1958 Marlin 39A. I've had many .22s since then, but it's still my favorite. Glen

For me it's a toss-up between my first rifle, an H&R Sportster bolt-action, circa 1950's, and the Ruger 10/22. The bolt is still dead accurate, and I have nostalgia for it, but the Ruger is one smooth gun to shoot, plus it can be customized to no end if that's what you want to do...

My favorite was a Remington 541-T that I am sorry I ever sold. My father has an Anschutz that is awfully nice...

I currently own three 22LR rifles: a Remington 541-X, a Savage Mark II-BV (an excellent shooter, especially for the price) and a Marlin 39A. The nicest one in the cabinet, however, belongs to my wife--a Marlin 39TDS.

If I could only take one rimfire it would be my Marlin 25MN. The .22mag would give me a little more range.

My favorite rimfire is my Marlin 39A, but the most accurate rimfire I have is my Mossberg 152.

[I have three. My best and most accurate is the Kimber Hunter with Nikon scope. The one I love to shoot is the Henry leveraction (which has gotten more varmits than all the others combined). The one I usually reach for is the CZ American. More accurate than the Henry, and I don't worry about dinging it like I do the Kimber.

I would have to say if I had to choose only one rimfire I would choose my Marlin 882SS 22 mag. I love it, it is probably the hest rimfire I have ever owned and I have had several.

A Remington 511 I had bobbed to 19 inches, scope mount made and installed, and restocked in a nice piece of Maple, with a homemade thumbhole stock. I use it for dismantling wasps 35 yards from my bench. Light, handy, and deadly. It only misses when I do!

My Martini with the 18" barrel and skeleton stock. It's light and breaks down into a good pack rifle. It started life as a 30" bull barrel target rifle till I needed some practice on the lathe. Even with the cutting down it will still keep five rounds inside a dime at 75 yards

My favorite rimfire is a Marlin 1897 Century Limited with Marbles tang sight & Lyman front globe sight.

Definitely not a target gun...but shoots good. Best group so far is 5/8" @ 25Yds.

My favorites: First, Remington 511X, the first gun I ever bought. That was in 1965, and it is still the most accurate 22 that I've used. Shoots groups the size of a squirrel's eye at 25 yards.
Last, T/C Classic 22, haven't shot it yet. Hope it shoots as good as other T/C firearms that I've owned.

I'd have to go with my Rem 66. I've owned it for 43 years and have fired more rounds than I could ever count. Shoots just as well today as it did 43 years ago. Amazing!

I'm torn right now, but I think that it would be my Browning Buckmark Rifle with an Aimpoint on top of it. It's the laminated stock and composite barreled version and it comes in at just about 4 lbs. Easy to carry all day and it shoots pretty well.

I would really miss my CZ 452 Ultr Lux though. It is a tack driver and is it ever quiet. It has a 28.75 inch barrel on it and shooting subsonic ammo is barely noisier than my air rifle.

I have decided though that if I could only have one gun that it would be a 22 LR. It kills way beyond what it should with well placed shots, it's fun as all get out, and a pocket full of ammo lasts a long time and wont break the bank.

I'ts gotta be my Glenfield Model 60- it's the first gun I ever owned and I bought it in 1963- good golly am I really that old?- it's accurate, easy to carry, eats just about any LR ammo, quick to reload with three extra clips, and rarely stovepipes, plus it looks like a mini M1 Carbine- I can rapid fire almost 30 rounds in about 15 to 20 seconds- I won't hit the tin can all 30 times but the ground all around it will sure take a beating :p

Gotta be my CZ Lux, 25 inch bbl, five and ten shot mags, 2-10 Weaver Classic V scopes. Darn near 1 inch groups at a hundred with cheap ammo. Feels like a real rifle when you pick it up.

My Marlin 39A. It's a little heavy for carrying, but the weight is just right for offhand shooting, and it has a large magazine capacity. Good accuracy, and great looking. I have shot it so much, it's second nature to me. Have had it for about 36-37 years. Bought it new by mail order before the '68 gun control act. Saved money for it as a kid, mostly by baling hay. I buy and sell guns all the time, and have had a lot of 22's, but I will never part with this one.

Well, I'd have to go with my . . . Remmington N12 with a cheapo BSA 4X and plenty of Rem. Golden bullets. I'll never go hungry with this combo.

When I was growing up a good friend, now deceased, owned a Mossberg 46M, a full stock, tube fed, bolt action .22. We spent many hours together in the woods with this rifle and I would often borrow it as well. This is a rare rifle and I recently saw one on Auction Arms. Naturally, I just had to buy it. I think of my friend every time I handle it.

The subject was, "Your fave 22 rimfires". But the question is which one would you take...

The favorites;
Marlin Model 81 circa 1937, it's clean, pretty and scary accurate.
A believe it or not Romanian M1969. Ugly but accurate. The grouse gun I wish I had had as a kid.
My "project" 10/22.

The one I would take would be the 10/22. It is just a little more versatile. But I'd make the kids lug the other two :)

Malrin-Glenfield Mod 20 with a Western Field zoom 3-9X32 Scope. She might be old, but she's still a blast to shoot with. I got it from my old man when I was seven years old. Man, that was back in 80's. I felt like a special forces sniper. Many a green plastic army man feared me. Infact, that rifle is still my favorite. When I enlisted into the Army, I wanted to take it with me. But alas, she had to stay home. But after my service. She came out of the closet and once again ahooting at the range.

A Remington pump Mdl 121 Fieldmaster made Sept 1948, I was given one in 1949. Since then I put a thumb hole stock on a 10-22 T Ruger with a tuned up trigger and also added a Anschutz 1710 rifle. I like all three .

I'm kind of hung on my NEF .17HMR. Although bullet weight is a severe downfall on windy days, the accuracy under decent conditions is great. I haven't shot at any great distances, but being able to put two in the same hole at 100 yrds is good enough for me.

I would have to take my NEF Sportster in .17HMR. There is not a job made for a rimfire that it will not be able to do. I've accurately hit small targets out to 200 yds. At the rifle range I normally shoot at, I go around and find all the clay targets left unbroken by the shotgunners and set them up on the backstop at 100 yds. and break them. When all of them are broken, I start breaking the pieces. Really raises the eyebrows on some of the other people shooting out there.

I have three: A Winchester 72P bolt action from the late 1930's, a Remington 550-1 semi-auto from the early 1950's, and a Mossberg 152 semi-auto carbine which was probably made in 50's as well. These are old guns, bought second hand, and lovingly restored. They are representative of the ones I wanted badly but could never afford as a kid. The Remington has a scope, but both of the others have peep sights. All three are accurate and reliable, good for my lifetime and to pass on, hopefully to someone who will appreciate them as much as I do. Reliving your childhood is fun!
