I have the stock white outline rear/red ramp front sights.  Don't like em'...I find the stock sights are difficult for quick target acquisition.  I much prefer a finer (smaller) sight combination.  Has anyone tried Ruger's Gold Bead front, Rear deep V Sight?  Opinions?

Thanks.

Morning Mark -

I've left several e-mails to the gent selling this item (within the past few weeks) and I haven't heard a response.  Have you been able to contact anyone?  I am not implying in any way that the gent who is marketing this aperature sight is not legit (I am sure he is).  It's just that I've been burned a time or two via internet sales so I'm skeptical until I can at least conduct an e-mail conversation.

Alan,

I tried this setup in my .41 Redhawk. I don't think it helped in slow, precision target work but may have been a bit "faster" under pressure such as hunting, mountain kitty defense, etc.

I just received an e-mail from Patrick (RaggedHole supplier).  He is alive and kickin'...he captains a boat in
the Oil patch in the Gulf of Mexico - 14 on, 14 off.  I've mentioned before that Murphy loves me...my first e-mail went out on his first day on!  He's going to send me a set to try...if I like them, I send him a check.  If not, I return the sight.  Can't beat that sort of customer service.
