Hello Riflemen: Some of you Riflemen know me and know I live where the hogs don't roam. That is, Southern Oregon. With that said I am on a search for a decent hog hunt that will give me a fair chance at having a good hunt. From my reading the south has a good population of hogs and I would be willing to make that trip to get into good pig hunting. However, I live pretty close to some hog hunting that goes on in northern California. I know exactly nothing about wild hogs other than I would enjoy putting the sneak on them. If you have not guessed yet I LIKE to hunt!!!
So, if any of you riflemn know of some decent hog hunting near Oregon I would like to hear about it. If you have other info. I would like to hear about this as well. I travel all over the west looking for good hunting and hunt everything from chukars (birds), coyotes, elk, bear, deer, cougar, and other critters that NEED it. So you know, I get to much of this hunting riding a motorcycle loaded with 3 weeks of hunting supplies including a revolver and a proper rifle. I would like to use a Marlin 30-30ai or a 1895 45-70 for the hog hunting. Fees are expected but I would not normally need a guide. Thanks and I hope for some feedback. Even if it is just explaining what types and sizes of pigs live around the western US. Life Is Good So Enjoy It, BestLever terrobj@mindspring.com

Or Hollywood!

Seriously though, there's good hog hunting from Central to South Texas, if you're interested in biking that far. It's all fee hunting here, and you'll rarely get away without a guide to at least put you in a blind and get you set up. Few, if any of the landowners/guides allow hunters to wander around the properties, doing the still (or "sneak) hunting thing.
