I am trying to find the American Rifleman issue from back around the 1980s that featured an article on a guy who had dozens of rifles stocked in all different kinds of exotic woods -and the pictures were really beautiful. Any of you knowledgeable longtime NRA members have a stack of all the back issues and can find that one. Please let me know what issue it is if you find it. By the way, I also posted this question in the General Discussion forum as well. I appreciate your help on this.

I wish I could give you more information, but that's all I remember. I wish I knew the year, but it could be anytime from 1981 through 1996, although probably somewhere in the middle of that range. If I still had my stack I would just go through them one at a time. If you love beautiful wood gunstocks you would probably remember the article and pictures. I appreciate any help you can give me. BTW I am also from the keystone state.

I've got that May 1986 article, but it only shows the guns in the display cases, with no closeups.
Is that you were looking for?

Ray,
Thanks very much for the info. Sorry I didn't reply sooner, but I was out of town for the past few days. This sounds like the article I was looking for. Thanks again.

Bob or Frank or others:
If anyone can scan this article and email it to me, that would be great, even if it's in B&W it would be OK.
If someone would be willing to make a color copy of the article and send it to me via snail mail that would be good too. If anyone would be interested on doing so, I can email you my address and upon receipt of the article I can mail you a check to cover your time and expenses. Please let me know if you can help me out by either method. I really appreciate the responses. This forum has a bunch of great guys! Thank you all.

Do you ever get down to Trop Gun Shop in Elizabethtown? I work there part time. It may be possible to bring in the magazine and copy the article there for you. Let me know.

Bob,
Yeah, I usually stop in at the Trop about once a month. I was kinda waiting to see if they have their usual sale in early April. I even picked up an employment application a while back to look into part time work. I can probably get there thursday or friday this week. I would appreciate your help.
