Has anyone read "Touching the Void" by (I think) Joe Simpson?

This is a mountaineering survival story, but I think it would be enjoyed by nearly anyone interested in the outdoors - you don't have to be a mountain climber.

In contrast to "Hunted" (discussed a few months ago on this fourm), this story is completely believeable, and yet it is completely astounding! I am fairly critical of books, and won't waste much time on a poor book, but this one easily makes my top ten.

Someone recently told me they've made a movie about it now.

I have not read the book yet, but will probably see the film soon...it is currently out in a few theaters. I generally like to read the book first, but being a documentary it probably won`t be around long on the big screen.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only skeptic on the "Hunted" book. It made for an interesting read, but I have a VERY hard time believing the story.
