Anyone know a good meat processor in Phoenix to cut up a Buffalo. I have been calling around and get around 63 cents/pound whiich seems a bit steep. Looking for someone who will do it right and not gouge.

Make a friend with the local meat cutter at a grocery store quick. I have a friend who is one and we process moose and caribou at his house every year. I'll bet you can get one to process a buffalo for you under $100. Of course you'll probably be helping helping him wrap and label. Just a thought.

Azshooter -

That .63/lb isn't really too bad. I pay more than that up in Payson for elk processing. If the guy is clean, will custom package per your instructions and will wrap correctly (double wrap, air tight, label and date cuts) I wouldn't quibble too much.

I don't know what they charge for buffalo, but I had "Four Peaks" at 19th Ave. & Bell Rd. process my last elk. They run an exceptionally clean operation, and did a superior job. I hope to give them some more business this fall.
