Savage makes 5 different left hand rifles, but so far they have not stocked a laminated stock. They are the Mark-2 GLXP, Mark-2 GL, and the Mark-2 GLY made for youth. They also make a .22 Mag, Model 93GL. I have had the opportunity to shoot a Mark-2 GLXP that put all rounds into a dime at 30 yards. They Make a single Shot bolt in the Mark-1 GL. I was told by the old boy who owned the Mark-2 that they run about $150, not a bad buy for a rifle that comes free-fooated with a button-rifled barrel. They take 5 and 10 round magazines. I hope this helps and if you find any outher reasonably priced left hand rifles please post there source.

God Bless: Leon

I've been doing similiar shopping for my lefty father-in-law and it seems that the Savage left hand bolts are the best deals out there.

I've recommended my Dad get the .17HMR (93R17-GLV) which has a heavy varmint barrel and is known to be pretty darn accurate. It runs in the $220 range but from what I've read, the trigger needs some help but there are DYI and purchased solutions available.

The cool thing is that you don't have to make do with the 'walnut finished hardwood' because left hand stocks ARE available through a couple of vendors, I'll list the ones I know of here:

Good Luck!

I don't think anyone offers more for the left hand shooter than Savage. I have one and love it.
