I want to buy an inexpensive Red-Dot for a .22. I don't need a top of the line sight, but don't want to end up with junk either. I am thinking the Millet reddot with a 3 MOA dot should be fine to mount on a 22 rifle for my sons to shoot. What do you all think? Andy other Recommendations?
Thanks
Andy

I'd just get a $30 BSA one at Walmart

I used to have a tiny $10 on my old pump up pellet rifle and got one hole groups

I would advise staying away from the BSA. I met a man at a range that had purchased a BSA and he threw it in the trash can. Said it would never het the same spot. He purchased a Millet and loved it.
I had one BSA scope and it was JUNK. Kept changing zero.

i have a simmons ( about $30, and does not need rings) that works ok for now. when i can i'm gonna get an ultradot or nikon monarch VSD, but for now the simmons works fine. i forgot and left it on for a week and it was still working, so battery life is not too bad.

I have the Simmons. Got for 35clams at Cabela's. I use it on a 45-70 with full-house loads and has held on quite well. The only thing that I dont like is the 4MOA dot. That size of dot covers 4" of the target at 100yds.....or in short, will cover 2" at 50. There's no way you can shoot for accuracy unless you have a smaller dot like a 1MOA or smaller (which is difficult to find). The red dot on my guide gun works well for hunting and that's where it shines!
