Having just taken possession of a Pedersoli Sharps Creedmoor #2 in 45-70 I'm lost as to how to place the sight inserts into the front hooded sight. There is a lever on top that swings but the inserts seem too big to fit? Also, the hood looks like it can be tapped off but is there a bead sight under it? The riflr came witj the standard ladder sight and I have to still install the tang but its the darn inserts that have thrown me a loop. As afr as the rifle I'm am very pleased with the workmanship and finish which are excellent. I did follow the instructions and strip her down for initial cleaning but had a heck of a time getting the bllock back in correctly. I mean ther are only three parts? Well any help that anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated. Hopefully our northeast weather will improve (no rain/snow and wind) and I can get out to shoot her.

The thick part of the insert goe's up sometimesafter twisting the insert off the card there is a little nub that interfears with the lever just file the little nub off & you should have no problems. The hood is in a dovetail no sight under neath.Good luck.
