What I have seen is the Marlin having problems when it is being over worked or maybe not held level
We use the 158 Rn in 38 case's and never had a problem in cowboy shooting when the rifle is worked to the limit.
How ever we have found the rifle to fail when it gets very dirty-say after a season of shooting and the reciever is gumed up that it will some times not pick up a case.
So is it the winnie or lack of service?
So if you do your part the rifle will do it's.
