Took in on trade a Model 99 in 300 savage and it had a scope on it I have never heard of. The name on the scope is:
LM DICKSORY. It is a 4 x 32 and the only other markings on it are, in very small letters, "KSL" and just beneath that "japan". Any help would be appreciated. JOHN

Wouldn't be "L.M. Dickson" would it?
I've seen some stuff from the 1950's and 1960's with that name on it. For example, a Johnson closed face spinning reel labeled that way.
I believe that name was a 'private label' name, from a chain store, like Western Auto, Montgomery Wards, JC Penney, someone like that.

No, I looked at it closely after your post and it is not "Dickinson". It is in script and the only questionable letter is the "r". The last letter is definitely a "y". JOHN
