I had 2 pair of armored binoculars that had been knocked out of alignment. Not real expensive ones (< $100) but still I hated to throw them away. On close inspection I noticed that under the armor or one pair there was a small screw that aligned the prisms. A small turn of the screw and they were back to perfect. Looking at the other pair, I guessed there was probably an alignment screw and carefully peeling back the armor found it. I got them aligned as well and glued back the armor. I now have 2 pair that are as good as new. I wish I had known I could do this before!

Both pairs have it in the same general place, one is a Bushnell the other a Tasco. On both pairs, the screw is the size of an eyeglass screw and the screw is on the top side closest to the pivoting part binoculars and near the front part of the main body. I hope this description helps. To get perfect alignment, look up at a star and adjust one or both sides untill it merges into a single star. On my Tasco's I had to do both on the Bushnells I only had to do one side.
