What are your thoughts on an appropriate looking peep rear for my 9422 Legacy?

Yes, I can shoot reasonably well with the factory semi-buckhorn rear. The slick little rifle didn't look at all right with the Leupold compact scope mounted and IMO it disturbed the balance of the piece, so I tool it off & put it on my Ruger 1022.
It would be quick and easy to re-mount it on the Legacy if I felt the need in squirrel season.

Does the Williams FP or WGRS, (is that the correct designation?), look decent on the Legacy, (in your opinions), and does Williams make one of the two that will mount in existing tapped holes in the receiver?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts....

Congrats on purchasing a beautiful rifle. I 'suspect' that if it's already D&T'ed, then a Lyman or Williams of some sort will work.

Is this your first 94/22?

I didn't know any 9422s came drilled and tapped. Mine just has rimfire grooves.

The best peep sight for this gun could be the sight that originally came on the Browning T-Bolt. Look it up on E-bay and see what you think. Some are still floating around new in the box.

I got mine from the guy in Canada that bought up a bunch of Browning parts. Forget the name . . .

The nice thing about the T-bolt sight is the way it goes on the grooves - - perfect.

The only downside, and this will be true of any receiver sight I know of, is the need to put a taller front sight on the gun.

I'm in the middle of doing this right now. When the weather gets better and I get out to the woods, I'll figure out what height is required and try to remember to post what I learn.

Here's a link to a guy on ebay selling the t-bolt peep sight.
