Okay its probably not a big deal for some of you guys, but I'm a little leary of trying new stuff, especially when I spend $1500 on it. The gun itself was only $449, but after the sling, bipod, and Swarovski optics, it got pretty 'spensive. I actually bought two of them, one for my brother, for graduation gift, and one for me. Both Whitetail hunter models, both .270s, one Right hand and one Left hand action. His is the lefty with the bipod and Swarovski optics. I love the gun, its beautiful, has a wonderful trigger and superslick action. Truly worth every penny of the $750 retail that I had intended to pay.

Good to hear you like the rifle i have ordered a tikka t3 syn stainless in .223 for myself which will be my first rifle and cant wait to sight it in and hunt some bunnies and foxes.

Those Swarovski Optics are pretty spendy aren't they? I wouldn't give up the 4 that I have for anything. Good Luck Shooting!

SPAD

You know, I was all set to get Leupold Vari-X III's, which would have scoped both rifles, but I put them right next to each other. The Swarovski was brighter, the clarity was amazing, and there wasn't any scope shadow at any length from the scope. Not discounting the Leupold any, its a world class scope at a bargain price. I will most likely buy a Vari-X III for my rifle.


Tikkas are truly world class firearms, they are so much better than most brownings that I have palyed with, I don't own anything other than a bunch of rugers, and one remington.

I wouldn't hesitate to lay down money for another Tikka.
