I would like to get a quality scope for my browning buckmark camper. Currently I have a Bsa Reddot mounted. However i would like to switch back to a magnified traditional scope because the only reason i got the reddot was for coonhuntin at night. now the season is over and i want precision as in crosshairs.
So i need a quality hand gun scope for under/around 150 bucks.
Are the bushnell trophy scopes any good?
And should i get a fixed 4x or a variable 2-6?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you

i bought a used leupold 2x for my MKII Competition Target and am completely satisfied. the price was $170, but maybe some scrounging.
i think the 4X may be harder to shoot than the 2x and at rimfire ranges be more power than necessary.
my suggestion is the highest quality 2X you can afford. a used scope can be considered if the company has a good warranty (like lifetime transferable)

well, "rimfire ranges" to me and to you are different things. i usually shoot at about 75 yards with my pistol but i still appreciate the suggestion. But i want a variable power scope so that way i can shoot close or far, but far is the main thing.

Has any one heard of a NcStar scope. I see a lot of their red dots at gun shows but have never seen their magnification scopes. They are EXTREMELY cheap and i severly doubt that their reticles are attached securely but, you never know.

But right now my choice is still the bushnell trophy 2-6X32.
