Hi all, I know I have been a pain asking all these questions but just trying to figure all this out. How many rounds do you get from 1/4/8 pounds of powder?

That depends on load you are using. There are 7000 grains per pound. That means my 5.4 Grain load of HP-38 will load 1296 44 Specials.

ps there is a ballistic calculator Here (http://www.beartoothbullets.com/rescources/calculators/php/cost.htm) that will calculate cost per round.

When reloading , you don't need to run max pressures. All that does is burn powder and ruin your cases and wear your gun out. Light/ beginning loads are fine for practice. Most of the time light loads are more accurate too. Now, if your hunting and need more power thats different.

I was given 2 lbs of Unique... a fast powder that you consume in small quantities in pistols or reduced loads for rifles... I think it is multipling!

The containers of the various stuff I use in the 444 go up in smoke pretty quick. There are 7000 grains of powder to the lb.
