Finally managed to get this loaded! The top one is an 1895 the bottom one is a 1957 336 RC in .35 Remington.

My '54 336RC 35 Rem looks just like yours.
It has a williams peep , twenty inch ballard rifled barrel.
How ever keeping with the straght grip stock I bought the Marlin guide as the big brother .

Nice looking rifles fellow... why don't you shoot them for the PMII!

RD, I will probably shoot the .35 Rem for the PMII, as long as I get more shooting in. I can't get a 5 group to fit in your target. Three, yeah, so I will keep working on it. Gives me the excuse, right? ;-)

Harry - I like the straight stocks also, it just happens that the 1895 came first - it was a good deal. Since it is a new edition, I won't feel the least bit of remorse if I decide to switch out a few parts and change it to a straight synthetic stock, adding a scout scope, and making it a bit less pretty, and more of a work horse.

My 336 RC has Microgroove rifling, but I like it with the factory fodder at this time.
