I live in the North woods of Wisconsin, and hunting is pretty big up this way. Also alot of deer around. We get a large number of hunters from the Chicago area come up to land they own around here, brings in alot of money to the little towns.Well in Wisconsin after you take a deer it has to be taken to a check station to be checked in by the state.I was getting fuel when a ruckus started up as a fellow came in with his deer, went over to look and the fellows had taken a hand saw and cut the deer in halves straight down the middle. It was a mess,as were the hunters. Two lawyers from Chicago on their first outing. After the laughing someone told them how to do it right and brought out a water hose to help wash it down.I was glad they werent hunting to close to me though.

I hunted many years ago in Mason County Texas.
Opening week-end in these small Hill Country towns is like the State Fair. It was well attended, even had a band playing on the square.
Two friends of mine bought a young hereford calf and field dressed it. Then drove around the town square in their jeep with this calf tied to their hood on Saturday afternoon.
It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
Even the sheriff got a laugh.

Hunters,,, go figure!

The worst ones don't even try. They just throw it in the back of the truck until the horns are the only thing left that's any good.
