I've had a 336C in 30/30 for about a year now and need help with changing the ront blade. I recently put a williams peep on it and decided to go with a XS white stripe post front.
I went with the .5" and it turned out to be too tall. does anyone know what height I need? I don't want to guess any more.
Also, XS makes there sights too wide for the base, so I would like to go with another company... any ideas?
Thanks for your help. -Coop

I'm quite sure if you get with XS and tell them your problem, they'll exchange the sight for the proper one if they make it.

Depending on how old your 336C is,( ramp height), and what model William's peep site you have, (top mount, side mount), will make a difference. I wound up putting a .375M on my older 336. Call Williams with the details of your gun, and ask for technical advice. They can usually tell you which sight you need. 1-800-530-9028. Let me know how you make out. Landngroove

Like Landngroove said, I would call Williams they have never sent me the wrong sight hight. I would also go with their Front Fire sight.

It's a newer model, 1-3 yrs. old. I did get the firesight the first time but didn't like the way it fit (riser block was a huge, oversized block).
Will call them today. The receiver sight is the top mount WGRS for the 336.
Will update.
How do you read the S/N for production date?
Best, -Coop
