Fellows,
I have a new Browning 1886 SRC and it flattens one side of the mouth of the case when ejecting. I'm told this is typical and normal for this gun.
Is it a matter of living with this in order to insure reliable functioning?
That doesn't seem right.

My 1886 SRC does this also-its not as bad when I slowly lever the empty case out. The cases are not deformed too badly as not to eb able to reload them again.

DocRob,
Thanks for your response. Do you have the Browning SRC or the Winchester?
Surely ejection would be more reliable without the mouth of the case being bumped against the rear portion of the chamber. I believe the ejector causes this to happen and wonder if anyone knows how to stop it and still retain reliable ejection?

The falttening seems to be inherent as part of the design where you have thin brass being forced to one side when ejecting the cartridge. My 1886 and 71's as seem to do it.
