I have been looking at the single-six, that shots 22LR and Mags. The blue is going for $300 and the stainless is $369, can better prices be found? Who is a good on-line source? And would you buy a used one on the internet?

Thanks,

Jim

IIRC, $289 in blue at the Sportsman's Warehouse chain. They're pretty darn competitive.

Buying used is fine, if you know what to look for. One advantage is if you don't plan on using the WMR cylinder. Many used ones are traded-in without it, which brings less in resale.

General rule of thumb, at least in my area(Central Texas) is gunshow price seems to be anywhere between 25-30% off of list. Anything in that range is a decent deal. A used gun is like-new condition will sell for almost the price of a nw one..So, why not go for the warranty?

Kimberguy,

Went to the gun show in Mesquite yesterday and found a private dealer that had a blue single-six combo in the orginial case with all paperwork fired about a dozen times for $230 and no sales tax......I brought it home....Can't wait to shoot it this week after work..

Welcome to the fraternity. You got a fine deal. You just don't seem to see them used in any sort of great condition. Normally seem to be ridden-hard, and put-away-wet.;)

I shop the used gun market all the time. Even used guns have a warranty because there is no time limit on manufacturer defects in materials or workmanship. It is possible to save big bucks and get a decent gun in the bargain. All the best...
