Why is it that I went to this weekend's big gun show with X amount of dollars to spend and I wind up spending Y ?

I had cash in my pocket for a new or used revolver plus residual for brass, primers and bullets. &nbsp;I wound up with a new 5.5&quot; SS Redhawk 45 colt which swallowed up my residuals! &nbsp;I just couldn't pass it up - brand new for 踹 out the door. &nbsp; The only bad part is that I now have to wait for the first of the month for important things like ammo and components &nbsp; <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://beartoothbullets.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

Thank you one and all for your input and guidance towards this purchase.

Blessings,

Alan

Congratulations! &nbsp; You now truly own a lifetime revolver! &nbsp; It will do anything you ever ask it to accomplish in North America! &nbsp;Too, you can load just about anything you want in it up to a pain threshold that makes shooting unpleasant.

Glad you found your revolver! &nbsp; Now, you'll need to study up on the loading data floating around here for that critter!

God Bless,

Marshall

&quot;...you'll need to study up on the loading data floating around here for that critter!&quot;

Being somewhat analytical, I enjoy pouring over reloading data! &nbsp;I've cut, copied and pasted most 45 colt loads that I have found on the net for reference material (for comparing to published loading data in the manuals). &nbsp;Loadswap data plus my gathered information will keep me busy for quite sometime!

Blessings,

Congrats on the new Ruger!!! Believe me they are a new handgun. Throw a nice set of custom grips on it, and some heavy LBT's and you have a combination that can't be beat for just about anything that walks this planet. &nbsp; Enjoy!

God Bless

Way to go Alan!!

Now for some torture, pick up the latest American Handgunner. Theres a give away this month on a Bowen Alpine Redhawk. Pin the picture up on the wall and save your pennies.

Have fun with the new boomer.

Alan,

Good to hear you connected at the show. I'll thumbs-up what has been said of your choice. That Redhawk is a big, ultra-sturdy gun that should give you great good service.

Thanks everyone - I am excited about this purchase. *I know the Redhawk deviates (rather strongly) from my original pistola search but I will start saving my pennies for a true packing pistol; 'sides, the reality is I NEED three different handguns to handle hunting, packing, and CCW needs!

MT - I saw the giveaway in AH. *No thanks - I find Bowen's creations gaudy and pretentious; I wonder if AH will notice my 327 entries? *
