I have seen these scopes at gunshows. they are only around 50 bucks. Are they worth a crap? i am terribly afraid to buy one and try it. have any of you tried them

I bought one awhile back for use as a scout scope on an old 8mm mauser. It seemed to be able to stand the recoil ok, but I noticed some shadows inside the tube. Upon inspection, I found some dust and lint on the inside of the lens. So I am not sure of how water or fog proof these scopes are.

That 50 bucks would be a good start on a Leupold or Burris, and you'd have a scope that will hold up to anything including magnum loads.. Just MHO..
