This book by J.A. Hunter has become one of the true "standards" of books on Hunting in Africa. J.A. was a PH in Africa and relays his tales of hunting everything from Bongo to Rhino and Elephant. Also visions of how Africa changed from the foot safari to motorized hunting.

Very enlightening and entertaining read.

I picked up that book at a flea market,last year for a couple of bucks.
It was a great buy.The book is everyting that you say.It gives a 'hands on'account of what used to be.
