Welcome to the forum.

My 9422 is F242XXX and Winchester says it was made in 76. I don't know of any charts for the 9422's.
I had Winchester on the phone for another question and asked them about my rifle.
You might give them a try.

I have owned a lot of m9422's since the 1970's and know a bit about the serial # ranges.

My brother has one in the 450,000 range and his was built in 1981 ,I believe.Yours should be 1980-81 I'd bet.

From that vintage,your rifle should have a white polished breech bolt at that BACK end(beside the hammer) and a white steel inner magazine tube...

The stocks should also be checkered and very glossy finished...
