Does anyone still make .22 rinfire gallery loads, the ones with the lead free frangible bullets? With all the 'lead free' shooting ranges now days it seems there should be a market.

Do remember them, but don't think they are still in production. Were two types if you do find any, one with a stintered LEAD bullet and one with a stintered IRON bullet (at least it was advertized as iron and a magnaet will stick). The lead version didn't do a thing for air contamination, but did revert back to dust on contact with a hard surface. Same deal with the iron version, but the iron dust wasn't a hazard....it did wear bores rather rapidly.

Federal tried a solid Zinc bullet a few years ago (in .22LR) and I know work is going on with the new matrix mateirals in other calibers. Eventaully htere will be lead free .22ammo on the market.

I know that frangible .22 caliber bullets are already available for the centerfires.
