It was Saturday morning and Jake, an avid hunter, woke up ready to go bag the first deer of the season. He walks down to the kitchen to get a cup of coffee, and to his surprise he finds his wife, Alice, sitting there, fully dressed in camouflage. Jake asks her, “What are you up to?” Alice smiles, “I'm going hunting with you!” Jake, though he has many reservations, reluctantly decides to take her along.
They arrive at the hunting site. Jake sets his wife safely up in the tree stand and tells her: “If you see a deer, take careful aim on it and I'll come running back as soon as I hear the shot.” Jake walks away with a smile on his face knowing that Alice couldn't bag an elephant -- much less a deer.
But not 10 minutes pass when he is startled as he hears an array of gunshots. Quickly, Jake starts running back. As Jake gets closer to her stand, he hears Alice screaming, “Get away from my deer!” Confused, Jake races faster towards his screaming wife. And again he hears her yell, “Get away from my deer!” followed by another volley of gunfire.
Now within sight of where he had left his wife, Jake is surprised to see a cowboy, with his hands high in the air. The cowboy, obviously distraught, says, “Okay, lady, okay! You can have your deer! Just let me get my saddle off it!”

Moral to this story is If taking wife hunting, give her a picture of what to shoot.

Funny story, but I remember reading a story about 2 years ago where an elderly man was hunting and shot a horse out from under the rider. The rider was not hurt, but the horse didn't fair so well.

True story here- about year and half ago my wonderful fieance (girlfriend at the time) went antelope hunting with me and my dad. They dropped me off and I was going to walk around to the north side of a heard of about 200 antelope. and my dad and lady were going to drive to the other side. She was driving my truck and my dad opened a gate for her and gave here a hand sign to turn the truck so she did about 10 feet too soon and cought the gate post (a rail road tie) she hit the passinger door and got scared and droped the clutch the truck then sped up and the post took out the door bed side and rear bumper about $1500 later and year and half I marring her but she'll never live it down.

I figure her hunting days have been few since then. My dad when he first got married had moved back to wv and my mother from the high plains deserts of arizona was not used to the large hills found on the property that they now live on .Needless to say he convinced her to go hunting with him and after climbing up a steep hill(as we call them in WV) my mother wanted to take a breather .My mother had been carring a rifle and when dad turned back around to motion her that they should continue found her resting her hand on the butt of the gun with the barrel of the rifle stuck in the mud. After a small discussion as to why this was not prudent my father ask why she had done such a thing and she replied well the other end was sharper and hurt my hand to rest on and the other end was wide and flat.True story! My mother has never since stepped foot in the woods to hunt again.
