You might think I'm "CRAZY" but I want a 15 inch 12 gauge barrel made for My TC Encore. WILL THAT BE LEGAL!!!!????

Nope...need 18" of smooth bore barrel and 26" (or is it 26 1/2"?) OAL to stay on the legal side.

What about the TC encore that shoots 45 Colt - 410 ??? PISTOL!!!! You can shoot the 410!!! shotshells!

Barrel is rifled...different set of rules. For that one any pistol length barrel would be fine (Including the little O/U double derringers that also fire the .410 in a rifled barrel).

Someone brought up the idea of a pistol length RIFLED 12ga. barrel, and I remember the BATF spoiled-sports had already figured that one out and vetoed it...will have to look up their ruling, but the basic idea was "no".

Now, if you have some more serious $ hanging about and are willing to pay a minimal curio tax, may be able to find an "oldie" that would cure your urge. Back in the 1920's and 1930's, Ithaca sold a " Auto $ Burgler" side-by-side 20ga with 10 or 14" barrels and a pistol grip. Not a lot of them meade, fewer survive, and when found will cost between 800 and 1400 (conditon), but last I checked they came under a "Curio" BATF tax rahter than class 3.

I WILL HAVE TO GO WITH 45 COLT - 410 combo and shoot three times!!!!! Thanks
