I have a 336CB in 38/55 that I am going to use in a three gun shoot at a local cowboy club. Handgun caliber 200 yds off hand, rifle caliber 300yds, sticks, sharps type rifles 400 yds sticks. At 50 yds my 38/55 will shoot with a 6 o-clock hold ok at 100 yds with rear sight fully elevated I have to hold dead on. Stock sight. Is there a taller elevator I could install to get a 300 yd 6 o-clock, hold on this rifle? or lower front sight? I would like to try this before going to a tang sight, or is the tang sight the only option? Thanks in advance.

I have a Williams WGRS receiver sight on mine with the Williams front fire sight. The rear sight has a lot of room for elevation. I'm about 3 inches high at 100 yards so it would be no problem getting a 300 yard zero.

Personally, I would go with a shorter front sight. That would be the least expensive fix.
