When will Cooper, Kimber, and Anschutz start makeing delivery of 17HM2 Cal. rifles to the gun dealers ??

I would not expect to see them until ammo is available, and that the last I read was not until late summer. I hope it is sooner because I am a very impatient person!

The ammo is out already. Midway has some advertised on there website, I think it was 7.99 a box. So the rifles cant be too far behind.
I am waiting for a fluted .920 10-22 barrel in 17m2. Just wish somebody would hurry up and make one.

Factory rep from Ruger tells me it will be late summer before their products begin to fill the supply pipeline. Anyone in a hurry for one needs to buy up a good supply of ammo as soon as it becomes available, and then have somebody build one for them. Watch the ads for all the barrel makers; they'll be rolling them out pretty soon, I'd guess.

Yeah, Midway did the same thing with 17HMR ammo! PUshed it hard for 8-9 months and didn't have a box of the stuff on the place! It's a marketing trick, designed to get all us eager beavers in line and put our hard earned money out to buy product they don't have! Out of Stock, or Back Ordered is the game. You'll get it, eventually, but Midway won't be getting any until the manufacturers fill the pipeline, and best estimates remain end of summer for that to happen.

Sorry guys, guess I missed that part. It does seem kinda chicken to advertise something they dont have yet.
Im not holding my breath or anything, I really dont expect to be shooting up any 17M2 this year.
It seems my part of the country is the last to get the new goodies. I think it might be a nice way to spend part of my tax return in 05 though.

I held the Savage Mark II HM2 versions last weekend at the PA NRA show. The 4 models they had will be shipped to dealers as they produce them. The ammo, well CCI is about ready to produce and Eley says September 15th shipments to dealer/retailer.
I'm interested in the reports on this round.

Mid South Shooters Supply says Sept 2004 for ammo availability.
