For many years, I have been buying classic Ithaca Model 37s whenever I encountered them on the used gun racks in decent shape at a reasonable price. I was looking at the new Model 37s and got chest pains when I looked at the hang tag price of $600. The older Model 37s never set me back more than $200. I guess I'll stick with the vintage guns. All the best...

I was at an auction this week and saw a nice looking mdl 37, in 16 ga., go for $190. I shoulda bid on it, but now that I think about it, it may have gone to $225, and I was not prepared to spend that. It looked good!!

Geez I love them 37s, but I guess so do alot of folks in my area. They're high priced- even the old "barnguns" are at least $300.- Would love to see one in decent shape for $250- dream on Whiskey....

I'm waiting on a new one as we speak. Ithaca 37 Deluxe in 12ga. w/ 26" and tubes. It's $565...I've got a Hastings slug barrel, Warne rings, and a Leupold scope ready to go when it gets here. I ordered it March 18... DL

I just got an older model lightweight in a 16g pump for $100. It has a couple of problems. Both of whick I think are minor. I never really wanted a 16g, but the price was right. It's a nice shotgun.

I like the old Ithica pumps too. Have you guys ever seen the Remington model 17? This was the "pre-runner" to the Ithica. My wife has one that is just like new. Solid rib barrel. They only made them in 20 gauge. I would like to find me one. These things are light as a feather and about the size of most 410 pumps. BEEEEAAUUUTTIFULLL. They were discontinued and patent was sold ti Ithica. God Bless Steve

Yeah their pretty proud of those new Ithica pumps. Most Iv'e seen and handled looked like an 870 express with an extra coat of varnish for twice the price of the Remington. Give me the one's from the sixties and seventies anyday . Gladly spend $175.00 -$200.00 all day long for them .

Note that the gun isn't in their database yet b/c their site is still under construction, but I was there today and spotted it on the rack and fiddled with it. Nice, solid gun, light wear and no rust that I saw, good wood. But I wanted an 835. Maybe some other rainy day I'll start a pumpie collection.
