Have any of you tried these? If so, what do you think of it as a dual purpose hunting/shooting scope? The one I'm thinking of buying this fall for my .270 is the 4-16x50. I noticed the optics were very bright at full power. Also, the 1/8moa adjustments make it real nice for long range stuff and the micro-sized 1/8" red dot would be great for the extended daylight hunters. The local gunshop has it for 185.00.
Whatcha think?

Ok, so I'm talking to myself here. I just bought the 8.5-25x50AO with target turrents and illuminated 1/8moa dot. Got it for 225.00 locally. Cool beans, baby. It's mounted and bore-sighted for a trial run here soon (out of ammo, have to temporarily shoot factory loads). I'll post back when I get it sighted in. Initial impressions are good. At dusk I could see into the shadows under trees at 100yds. The hair-like target type crosshairs are pretty light so the illuminated dot is going to get a workout. Hope it tracks well because it'll get some longrange coyote hunting in....hopefully.
