Well got the bear baitsite in above Cokeville in a good area that I registered. Feeling hopeful this year as I changed sites, closer to home,so can go up there more often- rifle season starts May 1. Practicing with the Marlin 45-70 and the 375. Ready to go. ;)

Do you have any grizzlies in the Cokeville area? You're not all that far away from Yellowstone, so I guess there is the possibility. It seems like every year someone shoots one of the fringe of their terretory, thinking that it couldn't possibly be a griz. We always have rumors of grizzlies in the southern Winds, but that country gets pounded by backpackers in the summer, and so far none of them have reported any.

By the way, I talked to a guy the other evening who shot a chocolate colored black last weekend not far from Lander over a bait. Said it was a boar that weighed about 250. He's getting most of it made into breakfast sausage.
