Simple question here for you all. Are the Browning Model 92s worth the asking price ($600ish used) or would I be as happy with a Win or Marlin 94? I haven't been terrible impressed with the Rossi guns I have played with, although it seems most of the people here are happy with theirs. I am looking at a .44Mag version. Looking for opinions here, folks.
Thanks,
Andy
ps, On edit, I should add that I LOVE the way the 92s look and the Browning I handled was smooth, well finished and nicely balanced.

I own a Rossi 92, Browning 53 (gussied up 92 in 32-20), and two Marlin 1894s. Of the four, the Browning certainly takes the beauty prize. But, looks aside, the Winchester/Browning/Rossi 92s are top-eject guns and don't take to scopes too well. On the other hand, the Marlin does eject from the side, and easily accepts either a receiver sight or a scope. Except for the Rossi, the Marlin will be cheaper, too. In my experience, they are all good shooters.
