I picked up a supper sweet (Used) 9417 and if you layed it next to a new one make sure you know where the new one is . Not a mark anywhere on it . Haven't shot it yet . Just wondering how it will compare to a savage or 10/17 , now I'm sure it won't be as good a shooter as the anschutz I looked at in 17hmr (But it ain't a grand either!) but are they ok for the money (I gave $275 for the winney) ? Any input I'd love to here . Scope it ? Or leave it open sights ?
And what is the difference between the standard and the Legacey ?(Shorter mag tube?)

The Standard 9422 or 9417 has a 20 or 20 1/2 in barrel and a straight stock and the Leagecy has a Curved leaver, Pistol-grip stock, and a 22 1/2 in barrel.
Scope it with good brand name Rimfire 4X or 3x9x40. {Nikon Prostaff , Burris, Ect..} Use a weaver base and good rings -- Don't skimp as it will become a faviorte shooter.
$275 ain't a bad price Dealer cost runs about $350 before he adds his part.
Mine is a 9422 22mag and Prostaff 4X rimfire and is great for squirells and crows out to 125yds
