Saw this quote today by Churchill while doing some research. Not ha ha funny but a good quote nevertheless:

Men occassionally stumble over the truth, but most pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened.

He must have been thinking of democrats. ;)

Then there was the exchange between Churchill and Lady Astor, notorious for her "D-Day Dodgers" remark. The Allied troops in Italy never forgot and never forgave.

The two politicians had been at each other's throat all weekend when Lady Astor said, "Winston, if I were your wife I'd put poison in your coffee." Whereupon Winston said, "Nancy, if I were your husband I'd drink it."
