I was wondering if anyone owned one of the Kel-tek P-11 Pistols? How do they shoot? How about accuracy and quality? I looked at one at the gun shop today, and was curious if they were any good.

Bought one about 4 or 5 years ago...kind of a "lark" figured it would be a hunk-of-junk and get traded off. It works.

Accuracy is determined by the long hard trigger pull...if you get that under control, it shoots well....but it will never be a target gun. Not an easy gun to shoot rapidly and accuratly due to the trigger pull's length and stiffness, but it works... hasn't given any toruble in the years I've owned it...and it's cheap.

Surprised by the gun's ability to digest nearly anything vaguly looking like a 9mm, I tried the 40, the .32, and the 9mm folding carbine. I must be lucky, as all of them have worked well from the get-go and are still working well today (with a big plus for the folding carbine's accuracy...this example SHOOTS).

IF you aren't going to spend a lot of time (and aggrivation) trying to shoot bullseye with it and are content with the tough trigger pull (even after the trigger job), it makes a good defensive pistol...makes a crappy "fun gun".

Ditto, ditto and ditto ribbonstone's comments.

Had my P-11 for about 10 years now and nary a complaint on functioning - just that cussed trigger pull!!

I have to agree with Ribbonstone, didn't think much of it when I first got it. Just another fad, a very small pistol that shot full power 9MM ammo trying to imatate the Glocks. Surely it would come all apart before a box of ammo was fired through it. Well I was wrong, after four or five years, can't remember when I got it, it is still going after a lot of boxes of ammo went through it. As Ribbonstone said, the only drawback is the trigger, once you master it you will have a very conciliable and reliable pistol.

They shoot very well.

They are accurate.

They are well made.

11 rounds of full-power 9mm, in the smallest and lightest package around. And less than $300 to boot. It's my carry gun in Virginia and my LEO brother carried it as back-up.

I have found that the trigger can be mastered and quick close groups fired! The long heavy pull would be an asset if ever you were in court to justify use in personal defense!

It feeds and fires everything I put in it!

It exhibits very good accuracy in light of its diminutive size.

A keeper in every way!
