Anyone tried one of these yet.

I couldn't find the price on the website, but I saw it somewhere else and I think it was about $800.

I guess I'll take that as a no.

Seem's kinda spendy don't it? Neat looking little pistol but it seems similar to the keltec. Wonder if it's more reliable out of the box.

No, the keltec is a double stack, which makes a considerably bigger bulge in your pocket. Also, the keltecs polymer lower frame is held onto the alloy upper frame by 3 pins, and its mainspring is an extention spring, which is pretty wierd and not very well proven as to durability-reliability.
Now the 15 oz, 6" Kahr PM9 9mm, that's another story, but it's nearly $600, too.

I was shopping for a pocket pistol in at least .380 and liked the Kahr PM9 even though it is bigger than NAA or Kel-Tec. I was prepared to spend $650 on it and then I saw the R9, smaller but same caliber.
I have not shot (or seen it in person) but I spoke with a holster maker who was given one (but could not shoot it) to design some holsters and he said it felt solid despite being only 12 oz. Looked to be high quality and he even said the sighted version had better sights than the NAA but are still not great.
This looks to be an ideal deep conceal gun, but it is unproven and the price is high enough I am not likely to be their test pilot.

They is one or 2 guys over at THR, who have them now and they are singing their prasie loud and long, seems the only way to get one is have a dealer order it, there are no stocking dealers at this time. I can't get over the cost of it tho, $900 list is to steep for me, so I'll stick with the Khar

I have been looking into this gun some more. And have found out a little more.
First, as an earlier post mentions. There are no distributors. If you want one of these, you need to have your local shop call the company direct. That is how they are operating currently.
Here is a discussion including a couple of range reports from users who have purchased the R9 or R9s. At the beginning, this discussion is info gathering, but the later posts are owners opinions. There is even a ballistics report.

There is also now a Rohrbaugh forum.

This gun is getting very tempting, I keep rationalizing that is only a few more dollars than the PM9.
