From what I read yesterday, the Million Mom March was a dismal flop. Only about 2,000 moms made it to the south lawn of the White House, and many of the "big names", i.e. Hillary Klinton, were noticeably absent. Funny how I had to read about it in The Federalist, all the major news networks somehow missed THAT story. What a surprise.

What would you expect PJ? Obviously their agenda wasn't served.

The Democratic Party is too busy staging their coup against Kerry at the upcoming convention. They don't have time or resources to waste on the MMM, which was all a Democratic Party production in the first place.

I saw a TV shot of the crowd on Canadian TV, which is very anti-gun. There was a lot of grass showing between marchers, not much of a crowd there.

Yes, and what no one in the media mentioned was the counter-demonstrators made up of women 2nd Amendment supporters who were present. God Bless them!
These "moms" where probably all tired out from marching thourgh the streets of our capitol, waving their coathangers, demanding the continued right to kill their unborn children. They only have time for so many rallies you know.

I saw some live coverage on CNN. Crowd was small and the rally was unsupported as far as I could tell. The part I saw was organizers and I did not see any politicians or celebs.

Is it just me or does it seem that if your nieve, uninformed and have a big mouth that you get things done for you?
Most people i talk to about the Assault weapons ban say "I want it to be renewed." when asked what the assault weapon ban covers, none of them know! when i inform them, most people think its stupid, conservatives and liberals alike. As for this march, i think they're all hipocritical "Let us get abortions but take the guns away that will kill our children." i personally think in certian cases abortions are alright, but then again im not the one out marching for rights. Why is it that liberals always contradict themselves?

Because that's what liberals do. If they made sense, they'd no longer be liberals.
Let's keep this to gun stuff, guys......

44S&W,
Excellent point. I had never thought of the irony of those two positions before.....anti-gun(for their kids safety) and pro abortion(for themselves and the right to kill fully formed human beings). I find it incredible that a movement that once rightly defended the weakest and most vulnerable members of our society....ie Black American's under the system of slavery, disenfrachised women and children working 20 hours a day.... seeks to deny personhood to the absolutely most defenseless members of our society...unborn children. There are millions of these people who have been indoctinated into this mindset by secondary and higher education, and find this totally acceptable. Where do we go from here with a society with that mindset???? Now that I've rambled about that.....what the heck was the Million Mom March???

I'll bet there would be more "MOMS" if the march was for animal rights!!!!
I'll also bet that if they marched into the Washington suburbs after dark, they would change their tune......
