I am wondering if the Ruger Super Redhawk .44 mag typically has the bore restriction where the barrel threads on, as we often see on some other revolvers.

Since it has the extended frame to barrel contact, is this still a factor for this gun?

I would appreciate hearing from anybody who has slugged one of these models or has other experience with this model.

That's the place one would most likely be if it has a restriction...but the Ruger doesn't seem any more or less prone to this than other revolvers. Not a great answer; doubt any of us could predict what a single example may or may not suffer from.

Don't think it's just an area of contact issue...working out in my head various reasons...still can decide if a longer threaded section increases, decreases, or has no effect on possible bore diameter reduction.
