I was thinking Kern County, CA, too. However, I wondered about another possibility. In the sacramento area there is a traditional rivalry between the City police and the Sheriff's deputies. Each year they play a charity football game for bragging rights. This picture looks like something deputies might do to taunt the police. After all it is the police that have the reputation as doughnut junkies, not the deputies [not many donut shops out in the boonies].

I don't know about the locale, but I would certainly agree that we're looking at a "put on". If Mr. Wagner is correct, then I'd say someone has a good sense of humor.

I saw this about a year ago and was instantly jealous.....they never let us put that kinda stuff on our cars! BTW, my Field Training Officer used to tell me if a drunk was giving me a hard time, to fire a warning shot into his chest. Six months later he had to tell me he was kidding. I was crushed.
