Having to protect my rights in this way, by voting at CNN, for whom I have only slightly more respect than Cannes, is bad enuf. Closing the ad for videos of Sex in the City and Monster was even more discouraging.

This poll is already mentioned in the General forum at the beginning of the board.

Just voted, it shows 'lifted' to "banned" 54% to 46%. We're in the lead, keep pouring the votes in. Course if 'lift' actually wins , the whole poll will just be dumped with no furthur mention.

I've found postings on this same poll in two other forums - how many times is it going to be posted on the board?

I just voted, it's still 54% to 46% in our favor; total for lifting the ban is now 176003.

FYI: I had difficulty when I used the entire URL, so I ended the address after gun.control.ap and found it. When I tried to copy and paste the whole URL that Rigby275 listed above, CNN just gave me an error message saying that the item I was looking for may have been removed.

I wonder if they will publicize it if they loose the poll?

Tried to vote but it would not accept my vote. Wrote CNN and told them what I thought of their trying to get a vote their way only.

Just logged in to check. 5/28/04. 56% in favor of NOT renewing, 44% FOR renewing. When I voted a couple of days ago, it was better in our favor. It has gone down some. After PRO GUN got the alert, ANTI's must have also movolized. So get in and vote!

I was just at CNN's web site and voted (more than once) and their current tally shows 59% for lifting the ban, and 41% for extending it on assault weapons. Thats if I was reading the correct voting poll results. If I'm wrong please correct me.
