Many of you may know about the end of the 1994 clinton gun ban. This ban is just one step closer to the government taking our second amendment rights. I would like to encourage all of you to write your senators and tell them how you feel about this. Gun owners need to care about this issue. If we don't let our representatives know how we feel, they may reinstate the gun ban.
Go to www.nra.org and you can E-mail your senators about this subject. Thanks
Please reply, lets see how many people actually write

Did that awhile back........more than once. What i know is that if we continue to sit idly by (as most of the shooting fraternity does), one day we'll wake to the radio and tv telling us to turn our guns in. Its not crying wolf, its already happened elsewhere. The NRA, etc, can only do so much without everyone's support. Sorry, i'll get off my soapbox now.

Well, i'm running into the same sort of mind-set with other things that i like. Various groups are trying to get things outlawed such as: off-roading (doesn't matter whether jeep or bike. Or foot..); hunting (and those nasty, deadly guns that serve no purpose. I even remember a tv ad that said "No problem, Dear, we'll just go buy some venison"); fishing (according to Cousteau and others, its sport fishing thats depleting the world's fish population, not commercial netters, etc); flying (exhaust into the atmosphere, etc); motorcycles; racing; ad infinitum. It seems that regardless of what ya like to do, there's a group working to outlaw/ban whatever it is, and if we don't find a way to put these groups in check, we're gonna be in trouble. For the most part, whichever group puts the most zeal into their effort is gonna prevail, IMO. I'd really like for that to be whichever group i belong to, or believe in..............
