I just picked up a copy of Gary Kramer's "The Complete Guide to Hunting Wild Boar in California". Its especially good for wannabe pig shooters but experienced hands may find some value in it also.

Back in 1980's I hunted boar at Lake Sonoma near Cloverdale, CA many times. Used a rented canoe to access swampy areas where pigs were found napping. They head to these wallows to escape the summer heat.

This is a public reservoir that produced many pork roasts and sausage for my family. I've not returned for many years but this area deserves a second look.
