A friend of my son's wrote an article about him, I have requested permission to post it but have not received a reply yet.

Note: my son was a bit of a radical at school and being a shock jock on the campus radio station always kept things entertaining. What amuses me about this article is the friend said he is in the Marines, he is not, he is in the Army, sent him a copy and he can explain that one to his unit. Suspect he will get ribbed. At least they got 1st Armored Division correct. To all the Marines out there- Semper Fi.
Note: when I told his friend about the Marine vs. Army thing they apperantly edited the archived edition to correct it and it now correctly identifies the !st Armored Division US Army.

Really hits home. It should be read year round and every night before we go to bed, not just on memorial day. My family and I are indebited to your son. I hope there is someway that you can convey our appreciation to him. For all the debate on our current actions, the fact still remains that young people are fighting and dying for freedom and the experiences will affect them for the rest of their lifes, and not just for the overseas period of time. A burden that we muct relieve as much as possible.

I wish more twenty-year olds thought that way.
