Hey guys, my friend and i were just sitting around the other day and decided to watch a movie, we watched American Beauty and we made a bet on the handgun used in that movie to kill lester burnham (kevin spacey). Don't know about that...that link shows a S&W DA semi-auto (too dern many model numbers to figure out which one exactly)...and the safety is ON.

See that safety. That IMO is typical S&W. And as ribbonstone said, the safety is on in that picture. You know, she must be safe before she kills someone.

Its his next door neighbor that kills him because he thinks that he turned his son gay, and he is die hard anti-gay from being in the marine corps. the ending sequence of the movie shows the neighbor covered in blood going to change his shirt.

You guys are right, after a second look your very right.

He doesn't kill Lester because he thinks he turned his son gay. He kills him because Lester (or the situation, really) made him realize he was gay himself. I don't know what kind of gun he used. I don't think it's the same one used by the woman in the car.
