My friend has an old military shotgun his great grandfather had from either WWl or WWll. It is a double barrel with hammers. It is German made. On one barrel it reads Adolf Swartz and on the other barrel it reads Hanover. The gun is beautifully ingraved on the sides, trigger guard and along the back behind the barrels. The serial # is either 985 or 986
Can anyone tell me anything about this old boy.

it dose'nt sound like a issue piece but more of a war trophy.the engraving on it would be more for civilian sale.if you can take dig. pics of this and post it here that would help.
