I am looking to mount a red dot sight on my ruger competition target model. I am looking at a 1 inch millet with a silver finish. Is this a high quality red dot? any other suggestions welcome.

I shoot an aimpoint 5000 on my ruger target. It has a really small red dot and it is deadly on squrrills, tin cans, targets, etc. It takes a 30mm set of rings. I am really impressed with it. They are a little pricey. I like the 1 minute dot it came with compared to the larger dots I see on a lot of the other red dot types.

i have been using Ultradot scopes on my MKIIs and .22/45s and can reccomend them highly. the 30mm models will require ring changes (or Solow mounts, which i also can reccomend). you can check out the scope section of www.markii.org and see just about every combination imaginable discussed.
